Tawny & Jason are the kind of couple that you just know will be together forever. Even with just spending a short amount of time with them, I could tell how deeply they love each other and how much fun they have together. They were joking and laughing and holding each other pretty much constantly and it was so wonderful to be around. :) They flew in from Seattle to have an anniversary photo session that Tawny happened to be pregnant during…so it was a combination anniversary/early maternity session! I was so blessed to work with these two!

Phoenix Desert Engagements: Adam & Shelly

Adam and Shelly are those kind of clients that I think I’ll be friends with for a long time after their wedding day. These two are SO fun to be around and their love is overwhelmingly sweet and true. I didn’t stop smiling once during their session or the whole time I was editing their photos. They were so flexible and their session turned into quite the adventure, especially since Shelly was in heels! They will be getting married this summer at Temple Beth Israel/the Gainey Ranch Hyatt and I seriously cannot wait!

Phoenix Engagement Session: Hunter & Tanya

Once upon a time, Tanya was a server at a restaurant and a guy named Hunter came in to have dinner with his mother. Tanya and Hunter really hit it off and when it was time to deliver the check, Tanya did something she had never done before, she wrote her number on it. Now, six years later, Tanya and Hunter will be eloping to Italy for a few weeks and get to spend the rest of their lives together. :) I had such a wonderful time working with them this week. Since their parents won’t be with them on their wedding day, they flew in from all over the country and we got some wonderful photos of them together!

101 in 1001 Goal Completed: #80

This past weekend I got to cross another goal off of my 101 in 1001 goals list! I went a whole 24 hours with no phone and 48 hours with no Internet…and I loved it. It was so much harder than I expected it would be because I unfortunately hadn’t spent a day without my phone since 2008 I think. I turned off my computer on Friday evening and set out to take my first weekend off since I started my business a few years ago! It was supposed to be really relaxing, but it turned into a crazy, packed weekend full of activities, but I loved it all the same! I’m definitely going to force myself to take breaks more often because my productivity this morning was out the roof after two days of no business work. I also think it’s good for the soul. :)

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! I made Easter cake pops on Saturday, they turned out to be delicious!

NAU Senior Portraits: Alyssa

Alyssa was such a fun senior to photograph! She is graduating next month from Northern Arizona University with a teaching degree…so of course she brought some teacher related props to her session! Between the props, her really fun personality and her wonderfully styled outfits…her session was a photographer’s dream! Without further ado, since I know she’s been patiently waiting for more than Facebook sneak peeks ;)…here are some of my favorites!

Some people are just natural models. Mackenzie is definitely one of those people. I had so much fun with her and her mom during her senior session last night! Mackenzie is gorgeous and seemed so comfortable in front of the camera, which really helped me get some wonderful photos of her. She’s graduating from Westwood High School this Spring and I have no doubt that she has a really bright future ahead of her! Thanks Mackenzie for choosing me as your photographer! :)

Phoenix Engagement Session: Dan & Kirsten

I had the lovely privilege of working with Dan & Kirsten this past weekend to create some engagement photos! The love between these two kept me smiling for hours after the session had ended and during the whole time I was editing. They were so sweet together and I can’t wait for them to get married in Las Vegas next month! They also brought their adorable little daughter to the session who definitely provided us with some entertainment. ;)

Scottsdale Resort Wedding: Sarah & Jonathan Pt. 2

Here is part two of Sarah & Jonathan’s wedding! You can see part one that includes everything from the beginning of the day and the ceremony here. Their reception was a blast mostly thanks to them hiring a great DJ and having guests that were ready to dance the night away! Jeff with Infinity Entertainment kept the guests going all night with fun accessories, hilarious games, and great music! I’m a huge believer that the DJ can make or break a reception and this one definitely made it. Sarah and Jonathan, I hope you loved your amazing day!

Scottsdale Resort Wedding: Sarah & Jonathan Pt. 1

Sarah and Jonathan were married yesterday at one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever been to. Everything about the wedding was perfect-from the incredible lavender and sparkly details to the fact that Jonathan and Sarah were so clearly made for each other. A beautiful romance and a very sweet story were all combined together to make a wedding day out of a fairytale book. I loved their wedding so much that I can’t even fit it into just one blog post! Here is part one of their day. :)

Of course the groomsmen found time to play plenty of pool and hacky sack!
