Last year, I created a theory based on this wedding and Keri & Bryan’s. If you meet your future spouse in Washington or Oregon and decide to get married in Arizona for the sun…it will rain anyway. Bethany and Mike got married on the coldest day I’ve ever photographed on…but they were both from my beloved Oregon, so they barely seemed to notice the desert rain! The details and love at this wedding were wonderful. The couple personalized their wedding down to the last detail…even the beer that the groomsmen were drinking was from their home state! They were a perfect pair and I loved the look each of them would get when they’d look in each other’s eyes, it was just heart melting. I felt so blessed to be a part of this wedding day and I’m grateful that Aaron Hoskins had me tag along to second shoot!
The day started at the Legacy Golf Resort…Along with her other jewelry, Bethany carried some of her grandma’s favorite pieces with her.
The ceremony and reception were held at the Secret Garden in Phoenix…
Thankfully the sun made a little appearance right around ceremony time so it could still be held outside!
I loved that instead of table numbers, each guest was sat at a table named after one of the couple’s favorite sports teams! The guests also got to go home with their own homemade cocoa mix!
There was no doubt at all about how much fun all of the guests were having at the reception!
All in all, another perfect beginning to a lifelong journey of marriage. :)
