Assumption Church Greek Consecration

Last weekend was a huge weekend for the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church here in Phoenix. They had their consecration ceremonies, which basically means the dedication of their church’s building to God and the Greek Orthodox religion. It was a weekend full of very beautiful and meaningful ceremonies rich with tradition and purpose. Normally, I don’t photograph many events outside of weddings and portraits, but this one was an exception and I’m so blessed that I got to witness such a special event for their church! I’m also so thankful to Aaron and Carson for helping me out that weekend, I couldn’t have done it without them! Here’s a little glimpse into their special event:

I love the Greeks. :) I kept getting asked if I was Greek, and I really wanted to say yes!

Last week I was in El Cajon in Southern California and had the honor of taking some maternity photos for Kaytee and Glendon. They were so sweet together and their first little baby girl is due at the end of the summer! I think they’re going to make fabulous parents. :)

Let me just say I love this girl. Megan is so sweet and photogenic and I always enjoy taking photos for her family! You can see her brother’s senior photos here! Right now she is a marketing intern for the Phoenix Suns and is majoring in Mass Communications, Marketing, and Public Relations at ASU. She has such a bright future ahead of her in the business world and I hope these photos can help her out on her journey to the top!

Let me just say that I love these people so much! I consider them part of my family and just love spending the holidays with them every year. They are all so beautiful both inside and out and I was pretty excited when they asked me to take their family photos this year. :)
