On Wednesday I had the chance to shoot George’s senior portraits in North Scottsdale. George will be graduating next month from Scottsdale Christian Academy and has big goals to be a pre-med/biology student in California! I’m so glad that there are people in the world who love science because I am so not one of them :) George had really grown up into a handsome young man since I had seen him last and I had a great time taking his photos!
Karen and Dan were married at the Millennium Resort in Scottsdale and I had the honor of shooting along side Anne McCarthy for their beautiful and emotional wedding! The day started out in a huge bridal suite then was followed by an outdoor ceremony and reception along side the bank of the lake at Millennium. Everything about this wedding was wonderful from the green apple table cards to the photo charm of the bride’s father on her bouquet (he sadly passed away.) Karen and Dan actually met on a blind date and were so in love with each other – it was so warming and joyful to watch them together. I wish them a long and happy marriage!
I’ve recently switched companies for portrait session books and I was so excited when I got my new sample in the mail! What better way to show off the photos from your portrait session than in a little book that can be treasured forever? I personally LOVE photo books and have made a bunch from my personal photos over the last few years. They make a great graduation gift for your senior, or a holiday gift for a family member. The two major things I love about these books are the gorgeous photo covers and the lay-flat pages inside. The binding of these books is specifically designed to show off your photos how they were meant to look, flat! No more regular binding where the inside of the pages disappear (thus taking some of your photo edge with it!) No more having to hold the pages flat or using paperweights to get rid of the curved page from regular binding. These books are great and will be available to all portrait session clients!

The Bruchs are a wonderful family that I had the pleasure of doing a photo shoot with last weekend. Their oldest son, Matt was about to leave for boot camp with the Air Force so they decided to have a family session before he left! Even though we had to switch locations at the last second, things ended up going well anyway! Even though at five foot seven I’m not too short, all of them are so tall that I felt I needed a ladder to look at them in the eyes! They’re all pretty lucky with that height. :) Here are some favorites from the day.
