Monthly Archives: February 2010Yesterday I had the honor of shooting another wonderful wedding with One Fine Day! Tatum and Noah were married at the Orange Tree Golf Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona and it was one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever been to. All of the details from the rhinestones on the flowers to the decorations to the engraved champagne glasses worked together perfectly to create a personalized and gorgeous wedding. Here are some photos from Tatum and Noah’s wedding!                  Look at that full moon!        Ok so if you know me…you’ll know I’m not the most athletically coordinated person. Dancing was pretty much the only athletic thing I could ever do. So…when Ryan asked me if I wanted to hike Camelback out of the blue last weekend, my automatic reaction was to run and hide. :) But…since it was my birthday weekend and I wanted to show that I was growing up haha, I said yes to my fears and off we went to hike an insane mountain we hadn’t hiked in three years. To you athletic folks, you might think I’m a freak, but Camelback is a dang hard mountain to hike! It’s basically boulder climbing most of the way up and some parts are so steep that they had to install long metal poles so you can pull yourself up the rocks. Yeah…maybe we should have started our hiking adventure with an easier one. My legs would have been grateful. Anyway, after a few slips and with shaking legs and cut up hands (from the boulders) I made it to the top! Oh how proud I was. :) (Yes I’m a wimp sometimes and I’m working on that!) Here are some desert photos to warm up those of you who are lucky and have snow outside!    Ignore how hideous I look in this photo and just appreciate the fact we’re at the top! :)   Last weekend I had the always wonderful pleasure of working with Anne McCarthy of One Fine Day Photography to shoot a gorgeous wedding at Villa Sienna in Gilbert, AZ. Villa Sienna is such a lovely wedding venue made of stone and it’s always great to be there! Heather and Jason were such a great couple to work with and I really loved their wedding. It’s actually the first wedding I’ve shot at that I almost had tears! The groom, Jason, has the most adorable little son named JJ. After Heather made her vows to Jason, she bent down and made special ones to JJ. This wedding was so full of love and family and I’m so grateful I got to have a part in their special day!     Ok this little flower girl was seriously the cutest thing and she sure loved that fountain!  Yummm…love me some pretty wedding details!     I know I’ve said this a million times…but I seriously love when couples have a First Look before the ceremony! Heather and Jason were really glad they chose to do this!     Here is the groom’s son JJ. I love how much Heather loves him. :)     Is this fountain not GORGEOUS??? Love the stone and the shape of it.         Sorry I haven’t blogged in so long!! I’ll try to be better from now on. :) |
