Yearly Archives: 2009I’ve known the Yanos for a few years now and have worked for their family and son Peter for awhile. They are such a kind family and I was definitely looking forward to taking their family photos. Gina and Jeff definitely have their hands full with two sets of teenage, identical multiples, but they are very blessed to have such sweet and fun kids.We got kicked out of our first location, so we had to get creative with the photos, but here are some from the day!          As everyone knows, this is my completely favorite time of the year. Now that my finals are over and I get a month off of school, life couldn’t be better! I get to wake up every morning to a beautiful Christmas tree, a handmade stocking, manger scenes, and colorful lights galore! I LOVE giving gifts to people as well. I can’t really think of a better thing than seeing a loved one’s face light up when you give them something that’s totally “them.” I honestly start my Christmas shopping, or at least start thinking of perfect ideas in early October. I try to force myself to wait til later…but it never works! I get so excited giving gifts that I can’t contain myself. :) (I love giving them the whole year ’round, but Christmas is just the ultimate gift time.) December is my favorite months because you can go around and say Happy Holidays to everyone, almost the whole world is celebrating the birth of our Savior (even if they don’t realize or appreciate it) and it just seems that people are so much more united with a common purpose and joy. I just love it! December is the end of the year where you can relax and let off steam and just let go of the tension and stress of the previous year. It’s a time to just enjoy what you have in life and not worry about the rest of the semester, the rest of the photo season, or anything! You can unwind and appreciate the last few days of 2009 before everything starts all over again with a new decade. I love the end of a year. There’s something peaceful about the end of certain things. I hope all of you are enjoying a nice stress-free holiday with the ones you love!  Over Thanksgiving break, I had the joy of getting to photograph this beautiful family. I feel so blessed that I’ve been able to date Ryan for so long and as this is our fourth year together, his family has really become a part of mine. Even though the weather threatened to ruin our session and we had to hide from the rain, I had a great time photographing them. I might be biased, but I think they have a very attractive family and while I was going through the photos I realized that they all have completely stunning eyes! Jealous ;) Sorry to everyone that it’s taken me so long to post again, the end of the semester is really stressful! I hope it’s been worth the wait though :) Enjoy!
