This Halloween was filled with fun little traditions and I couldn’t have been spent it any better way! One of the best traditions that only started last year was that of carving a pumpkin. Last year we just did a silly face but this year we stepped up our game and made this bat in a moon! In the light…it doesn’t look like much but in the dark it shows its true pumpkin self.
Can I just say how much I love little traditions? I love when holidays and events are full of a mix of tradition and new things to spice it up! Each Christmas we get amazing homemade cinnamon rolls (the recipe has been passed down through generations) and even though we always know what to expect for breakfast…there couldn’t be anything greater! And each year we mix it up a bit by trying a new icing, adding nuts or raisins, etc. : ) I also love gift traditions. There are certain gifts that I give to different people each Christmas (along with some surprise ones, of course!) and they just love them. It’s great when you get up a little collection of something…whether it’s special books, homemade Christmas Cds, or something else…tradition is a huge part of what makes the holidays so special to me and I hope others enjoy it as much as I do : )

I’d love to hear some of your holiday traditions so leave me a comment about them!
