Wicked

Wicked was amazing. Better than I ever expected. I tried to set my expectations low so that I could never be disappointed but after four years of being pretty much obsessed with the soundtrack, it didn’t really work. It’s ok though because it still exceeded my expectations! Everything was perfect about it. Even though I knew the whole story in and out and every word to every song I was still impressed. I would recommend that anyone see it!! No matter where your seats are, I still think everyone will enjoy it immensely. Oh what I would give if I could sing like one of them!! I don’t think I would ever shut my mouth :) Anyway, here are two pictures from the night!

Fireworks

The last few days have been awesome. I got to go boating on the lake, had a fun reunion with some girls from high school and actually got to see fireworks on the fourth of July! If only I could have played with sparklers or something of the sort, that would have made it perfect. Too bad I live in the desert :) Anyway, for the fourth Ryan and I tried to find some fireworks to watch and take pics of. We ended up discovering this little lake in the middle of a neighborhood that was connected to a park. The lake had a big concrete dam thing off on the edge so we walked out on it and had a great view of the show. It was perfect because it was really dark and the fireworks reflected off of the water. The show lasted about thirty minutes, it was great :) here are a few of the photos!

Happy Wednesday!!

Long Week

I can’t believe I haven’t updated in so long! It was such a long week with working and summer school…but the good news is I finished my class! It could possible have been my last summer school class ever! Wow that would be nice :) Yesterday felt like my first official day of summer because I had no school or work! It was pretty exciting. I learned a ton from my teacher and I’m glad I took the class because I met a bunch of great people, but it was definitely time to be over. The last few days I had nothing to do so I just read for hours and hours. I love a good book. Books enrich our lives so much I think. Two things I really learned that I like this week are humility and simplicity. I’m drawn so much more to people who are humble and don’t think they are the best thing in the world. Humility is such a great characteristic to have and I really love surrounding myself with humble people. I feel they have so much more to teach me than people who are the opposite. The other word: simplicity. I just love simple things. Whether it comes to photography or just how you approach life, simple things are so much more peaceful than complicated things. I would much prefer a peaceful life to a hectic one :)

I hope everyone has a wonderful fourth of july!!

Here’s a bit from my final project in class.
