I think change is amazing. It’s crazy how a few little changes can completely alter the feel of a room, or a life. Last night I cleaned and completely rearranged the furniture in my room and I couldn’t be happier! Just a few little moves and the room feels totally different and way better. If you’re ever feeling like you’re in a rut or just bored with the routine of your daily life, I encourage you to make some little changes, no matter how small, even if it’s just moving a chair or something. Change can feel so good!

Yet another busy week! I have only 5 more days of photo summer school after today and I can’t say I’m terribly sad. I’ll miss my new friends but it’ll be nice to have a free month of summer. I’ve been working as much as I can saving for my new lens that I finally bought today :) I’m super excited for it to come next week!! Last week a friend loaned me two INCREDIBLE lenses that I had fun playing with over the weekend. They were very high quality lenses and I hope I can have stuff that awesome one day! If that was the only good thing that happened last week, it would have been ok. On top of that though, my amazing boyfriend bought me tickets to my dream show Wicked. I know every single word to every song in the show and I’ve loved….well more been obsessed…with it for the last five years. I’ve never gotten to see it though and he surprised me with tickets for next month and I am so so so excited!!! It was the nicest thing in the world. I also got to spend some fun time at the lake for my friends birthday, and saw the Proposal which was a wonderful movie. I laughed a ton :) it felt great. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!! Monday is the start of a new week, hopefully yet another productive week at that! So far it looks like it will be :) Today I worked on a new feature that I’m going to offer to clients. I’ve done a lot of research on it with other photographers and it seems to be an awesome feature that clients really like and find easy to use. I think it will definitely help with organization and just make things easier all around for everyone. So from now on, I’ll be offering online proofing for everyone. I will post all of the color corrected images online in a special album that can be password protected. From the online album, clients can view all photos, order prints, albums and photo CDs. Each client will have the option to get the CD with images that can be printed anywhere (Costco, Walgreens, etc.) or they can order them through me and I’ll send the orders out to a professional printing lab who make high-quality prints on various types of paper. I’m really excited about being able to offer these new options and I’m hoping that clients will love online proofing as much as I do!

This week I’ve been putting a lot of work into my photos and business. I worked on a whole new feel for the blog that I like a lot better, edited a bunch of photos, registered with a professional printing lab that I’m very impressed by, I worked on my pricing pdf, added some new features to the site (navigation tabs at the top), and I also started creating some templates for the graduation cards I’m going to offer. I’m really excited about the printing lab because they’re providing me with so many more options now. They offer a ton of different types of papers and products and they’re great! One of the products I can get made through them are press printed greeting cards. These can be used for anything really- from holidays to graduation announcements. I’m really excited to continue designing more example templates that people will hopefully like! This has been a pretty productive week and I’m definitely looking forward to the future.
